Information you provide directly:

- Profile information (photo, bio, interests, hometown)
- Social connections you choose to import or add manually

Information collected automatically:
- Device identifiers and operating system information
- Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps)
- Usage data (events you swipe on, matches made, RSVPs, attendance)
- City-level location for event discovery (precise GPS is never tracked in the background)
- App performance and crash reports
Information from third parties:
- Spotify: Artist preferences and listening history (only with your explicit authorization)
- Eventbrite / Ticketmaster: Event data and ticketing status
- Social platforms: Basic profile information if you sign in via a third-party provider
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate and improve the Service, including powering our Social Heat algorithm
- Match you with friends who have expressed interest in the same events
- Personalize event recommendations based on your social graph and taste profile
- Facilitate group chat creation and communication features
- Send you push notifications and in-app messages (you can opt out at any time)
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. Period.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With other pakt users: Your profile and RSVP status are visible to your confirmed friends. Friends-of-friends visibility is opt-in only.
- With service providers: Trusted vendors (cloud hosting, analytics, push notifications) who are contractually bound to protect your data.
- For legal reasons: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of pakt, our users, or others.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may transfer to the successor entity.
4. Friend-of-Friend Visibility
By default, your RSVP status is only visible to confirmed friends. The friends-of-friends (FoF) feature is opt-in only and can be toggled at any time in your privacy settings.
5. Location Data
We use your city-level location to surface nearby events. Precise GPS tracking is not required and is never performed in the background. You can revoke location permission at any time through your device settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Group chats are automatically archived 7 days after the associated event ends. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing info@pakt.group.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; opt out of marketing communications; withdraw consent for optional data processing; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (EU/UK residents). Contact us at info@pakt.group.
8. Children's Privacy
pakt is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, JWT authentication with token rotation, E2E encrypted messages, and regular security audits.
10. Changes to This Policy
We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
